AYSO Coach
AYSO Coach
Coach Meeting
Tuesday, August 9th
Time: 7:00pm
Location: Speed Zone

Kids Zone
In recent months, the national media
has focused on the negative, even
violent, behavior of players, coaches
and parents involved in youth sports.
In a proactive effort to counteract this
trend of violence, AYSO is initiating a
program called Kids Zone.
Dear Coach,
We welcome you to another exciting soccer season in Region 215.
We thank you for volunteering. Without volunteers like you we would not have ASYO in our community. It is because of you and the many other volunteers including Referees, field help, team parents, board members that our kids may experience the game of soccer. We are looking forward to a fun season ahead.
In order for us to be able to help you achieve the very best experience when coaching in AYSO we have scheduled a training and a coaches clinic for you.
Please make plans to attend the scheduled Coaches Clinic. For dates of Coaches Clinics visit the Regional Calendar
Frequently Asked Questions
When may a coach start practice? Aug 1st. Important: Schabarum is closed for Practice on Tuesday until Aug 16th.
What if I have vacation coming up and I will not be able to start practice right away? Contact all parents and let them know what date your practice will begin.
What if I can’t contact a player? Let’s remember that some families might be away on vacation. Leave a message if possible. Try all the numbers you find on the form. Contact Registrar @ registrar@rowlandayso215.org
If I can’t find one of the players assigned to my team may I replace them with my child’s friend? No, only the registrar is to make changes to your roster. No child is dropped from a team until the registrar speak to a parent.
I have an opening on my roster may I add my child’s friend? No, only registrar may make changes to the roster. We work hard at creating balanced teams. Please contact the registrar to register a player and there are no guarantees that the player will be place on your team.
I have my team, now what do I do: Call parents and set up a team meeting. At the meeting have your practice schedule ready. Recruit a team parent, referee’s, snack bar help, field prep day help. Remind them that AYSO is an all volunteer organization. Parents are part of the team also. No previous experience required. We offer Referee training, visit Regional Calendar & Referee page.
What do I do when a parent is always late to pick up child from practice? NEVER, leave a player alone and unattended. Remind the parent that they must be there on time. Contact Divisional Coordinator, they will then contact CVPA & RC. We will work together with the parents to make sure the child is picked up on time.
Things to remind the parents about:
•Parents should stay in the area while practice is going on. If parents do leave they must be on time to pick up their players
•Remind parents to have the player use the restroom at home before leaving to practice. There are no restrooms available at Alvarado. Schabarum restrooms are not always open.
